[ Leila’s Commentary Over Beauty. ]

Beauty can be made up of many things. People can be beautiful, for sure. Landscapes may be seen as beauteous. Tangible things can be beauty, and even ideas some consider to be beauty. But beauty is more than just that. Beauty can engulf our ears, skins, and tastes. Beauty makes up the world around us in all sorts of ways that are always seen differently. I am open in saying that Trent Reznor, the musical mastermind and driving force behind Nine Inch Nails, has an amazing gift when it comes to composing beautiful music. I cannot deny that he has brought me to tears more than just a few times. Edgar Allen Poe had this to say about beauty, “Beauty of whatever kind, in its supreme development, invariably excites the sensitive soul to tears.” Clearly, my line of thought seems to be in sync with that Poe. Beauty is supposed to evoke something deep inside of you. It is suppose to be something that pulls up emotions. Beauty is not, to me, Paris Hilton or Lindsey Lohan. I simply do not see anything beautiful in those so-called women. What is there to find beautiful in them?
