The best memory

The best memories I have had have been when I am singing.

October 6,2007 I auditioned for a Spanish singing competition. I was not sure if I should have gone but my family and friends believed in me. I did not wan to let them down.

I could not believe that I was actually there auditioning; it felt like I was one step closer to achieving my dream. While I was warming up my voice to show those judges what I can do, they called my number and I was ready to go.

My nerves were taking over me! I sang my song and sounded good but i was not great. I feet like I achieved what many people do not get to do. I left the room dissapointed that I could have sang louder and stronger but nonetheless, I was proud that I took a chance.

They called me back in and said thank you, you have a beautiful voice but unfortunately you will not be going to the other round, but come back next year.

My heart dropped, I kept my smile on my face and left the room. I thanked God for giving me this gift and I will not stop until my voice is heard to help and inspire someone like Selena my favorite singer did for me. Like they said, come back next year, and that is what i am going to do. I am practicing every second to improve my voice to blow them away.
