- teaching
- making history fun
- telling stories (But apparently not at counting, because I think this one made eleven things.)
10 groups I am a part of
- Kingwood adjunct faculty
- HBU adjunct faculty
- the Davis family
- Purdue alumni
- people who can drive stick
- readers Â
- education bloggers
- Renaissance fair attenders
- people who have lived in Europe
- descendants of soldiers in the American Revolution
I think the most interesting of the groups in that list is “descendants of soldiers in the American Revolution.”  One of my cousins is a member of the DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution), but I never bothered to join it.  My aunt did a lot of research to find out if my cousin could be a part of it, though.  My great-great (several more times) grandfather Daniel Hastings/Haston fought in the American Revolution and Texas A&M hosts my great’s family history.  He is listed in the Tennessee Sons of the American Revolution.  I think it is fascinating to read about my ancestors, especially one who was partially responsible for the country I call home.Â
