For as long as I can remember I have always wanted to be a nurse. This calling has become even more important now that I work in an assisted living facility. Every day, that I go to work I see the families with their loved ones who look at them and the residents looking back not realizing who their loved ones are. This is my reality almost every day knowing that these people with Alzheimer’s can’t remember who these people are that they loved for so long. It is my goal to make each day the best that it can be for the resident and their family. As I bring in some joy into the lives of the residents and their families I feel that I am making a difference and have given some life back to them.  It makes me strive harder to reach my goal of becoming a nurse.
