Another example: healthcare reform c/c

Universal healthcare and healthcare reform are hot topics for United States’ citizens.  Since the 1970s, many other nations have given at least a minimum of medical care to the people of their country.  America is the only devloped nation that does not provide healthcare to its citizens, whether rich or poor (Mueller).  Others disagree with this, saying, “We have the finest system for treating illness and injury in the world” (Califano).

One point of contention is how well, or how poorly, universal healthcare systems have worked in other nations.  Dr. David C. MacDonald feels that universal healthcare systems have performed poorly and that U.S. citizens can count on universal healthcare not working here in America.  On the other hand, citizens of other developed nations live longer than Americans and are happier with the healthcare that they receive, according to Dr. Rudolph Meuller.
