An article on the counter debate says that the problem is more natural than man-made, stating that more carbon dioxide is put into the atmosphere by the earth itself through the use of volcanic eruptions than what humans have caused. It also says that meteorological records prove that the warming process started in the early 40s, well before the carbon dioxide buildup in the atmosphere due to automobiles (Royal).
