My ultimate educational goal is an English degree, which will allow me to become a book editor. A strong love for books and, frankly, correcting, has impelled me to choose book editing as a future career. However, to alleviate my more creative side, I plan to first pursue a career as a hair stylist via an Associates degree in Applied Arts and Sciences. Because this is my first semester, I am currently laying down a foundation by taking basic courses. Since the cosmetology program starts solely in the fall semester, I will spend the coming spring semester achieving credits that will contribute to my future English degree. I have not made sure of all the classes I will need to take, but as I cannot start schooling for a career as an editor for at least another two years, procrastination is not a frontline issue.
