The last movie that I saw that brought out the weakest in me was “The Strangers”. I went in expecting a run of the mill slasher film; however, the buckets of blood and spooky houses are replaced with terror, actual terror. Made possible by portraying the entities as psychopathic, but grounded in the bounds of reality; no more superhuman axeweilding murderers going after the seemingly fearless teens taking a shower in the middle of the film. To say the least, it was a very good watch that reminded me of why I started watching horror movies in the first place.
