Research shows that marijuana does not simply lead to other drugs. 39% of Heroin Addicts did Marijuana first, while the rest started with some other drug. Users tend to start with whatever drug is most available in their areas, Allen Ginsberg the famous “Beat” poet used Heroin before Marijuana, but Heroin wasn’t the gateway, it was simply available. Even if someone used Marijuana before they used Heroin that doesn’t mean that it is a gateway. They drank Milk before they used Heroin, are people going to start telling me that my Milk drinking will lead me to be a Heroin addict?
