Teen pregnancy is a very important factor in todays world. Some argue that the rise in teen pregnancy is due to the explicit sex education given in schools today. While others sustain the idea that sex education has decreased the pregnancies by significant percentages. Abstinence, contraceptives and simply the basic message of sex are among the major differences between the two sides.
Personally I believe that sex education is improving todays teens and putting them more aware of the consequences in being sexually active so early in their teen years. The classes teach them about protection, sexually transmitted diseases and abstinence. At least if the teens were to choose to be sexually active they would be more likely to use protection so that they wouldn’t become pregnant and face all kinds of consequences.
