- Future Nurse
As far back as I can remember I’ve always enjoyed helping others. In elementary school I would give up my entire recess in order to tutor kindergartners. Throughout middle school and all of high school I tutored fellow classmates in chemistry, biology, and botany. I knew that when it came time to choose a profession, Nursing would be the perfect fit. Helping individuals recover from a serious injury, disease, or giving a person a better quality of life is something I am inexplicably drawn towards. I hope that in the near future I am able to make my lifelong dream a reality. I plan on being a pediatric nurse in the next two years, and help infants, children, and adolescents throughout Texas. When I was an infant I spent months in the neonatal intensive care unit; often referred to as the NICU, as the result of a hospital error. Infants, children, and young adults often require the most attention, and I feel as though I am the one to give it to them.
