Swimming Again in a New World

Swimming Again in a New World

I chose this six-word autobiography, because, while it is by no means all-ecompassing, I think it says a lot about me.  I was born and raised in Japan and lived there most of my life.  My two year stay in Guatemala was my first time, aside from a year in England as a child, to truly experience life in a foreign country and a different culture.  It was a very exciting time for me.   Having said that, there were things I found difficult to adjust to.  Now, I am in the States, another country that is different from the one I am used to, and I am experiencing the same excitement and occasional unease that comes with being in a new place.
