Irish Cinderella Setting

The setting is one in which church is a major social event and the children are given real word names. There is magic, as the henwife is able to provide useful things. Trembling, Fear, and Brown are all the daughters of a king but Trembling recieves better clothing than the King can provide from the Henwife (so, really, really opulent). There are many kings and many king’s sons in the setting, which appears to be a balkanized ancient Ireland. There is duelling for the woman, Trembling, whom they all desire.  There are also guns and silver bullets for killing whales and the King possesses barrels that will hold seven years of provision. There are also schools. I feel as if this is very anachronistic.
