Dictionary.com defines the word lie as a false statement made with deliberate intent to deceive; an intentional untruth; a false hood. I totally agree with dictionary.com I just would’ve said my opinion of the word lie is an inaccurate or false statement. Paulo Coelho once said,” What’s the world greatest lie? The boy asked, completely surprised. “It’s this: that at a certain point in our lives, we lose control of what’s happening to us, and our lives become controlled by fate. That’s the world’s greatest lie.” I don’t think that people realize how much lies have destroyed our world today. People lie everyday we can’t honestly say that no one has lied today. People lie for many reasons I would not say good reasons but they do. When someone is intimidated by another individual they tend to lie. When people are jealous they lie. People that always have to be perfect to please people tend to lie because they are afraid of failure. Lying is very powerful.
