I preface this in recognition of the infinitely abounding blessings and opportunities afforded me by our Father. Though having said that, admittedly, I tend to squander such gifts, as do I think we all. I can certainly attest to having run from our shared responsibility of discipleship, of deeply rooted community, of the sacrificial degree of devotion Christ so lovingly pours out to those both willing and unwilling. Both loving and unloving. This is a plea for growth, for spiritual maturity, to see and to love as did Christ. To be so graciously SWALLOWED that I might better understand the character of God. My prayer in this is not only for my benefit, but that I may become a better servant, a better friend, a better man.
