This is a picture my friend, Lindsay Cooper took while we were on a mission trip to Joplin, MO this past July. To me, it represents “Jesus love me; I am His” because my life right now is about finding beauty in destruction. I’ve been trying so hard lately to see beauty in my flaws and in my appearance. In this picture, the wreckage surrounding the cross is what used to be a church; the cross is the only part of the church that wasn’t destroyed by the tornado. To stand in front of this cross, and feel that you are still standing on Holy ground, is a remarkable feeling that you can’t help but recognize as a beautiful disaster.
